October 28, 2012 - Wat Khemarangsaram, Bonnyrigg, Sydney, New South Wales
Flags have been flown at half-mask ever since the passing of King-Father Norodom Sihanouk. The Cambodian Buddhist society of N.S.W. held a small ceremony for the late King-Father Norodom Sihanouk. It was a very emotional ceremony, the old people praying/crying when monks spoke about the things Sihanouk did for Cambodia and the Cambodian people. Near the end of the ceremony, a special guest speaker spoke to thank those who attended. I didn’t catch her name, but it was the niece of Norodom Sihanouk.
Another ceremony will be held in 3 months time, when the former kings body will be cremated.
